I received a commission request to have a family pictured on the patio at Dino’s Cafe from the Melmoth Street Scene.
He even sent me a sketch he had done to help illustrate his idea:
That sketch, along with his rather detailed instructions, helped me to produce this layout:

We’re off to Wizard World Pittsburgh on Friday and will be at table B-18:
Our last show of the year!

The issue of Heavy Metal magazine with my art for ‘The Smile of the Absent Cat’ story should be on the shelves.
Now I just have to find me one of those shelves.
My first eight pages of Grant Morrison’s ‘Smile of the Absent Cat’ will be in issue 283 of Heavy Metal Magazine.
On the stands October 26 or for pre-order here.

for one of the pages:
I hope people like it.
And then it’s off to Pittsburgh!
Thanks to James Ponce and his ground crew for a great show.
As you may be able to tell, the A-10 is Shel’s favourite plane.
…and we’re off to Hamilton for the con.
At least this one is just a short drive away.
And! It’s being held at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
which is just off-the-scale cool.
Here’s me desperately trying to finish the first eight pages of
Grant Morrison’s ‘Smile of the Absent Cat’ before the deadline
under Elsa’s strict supervision.
