Art Sale

And, because each page doesn’t have pesky “characters” on them, we have kept the price of each page under $900.
Similar to past sales, each page will be revealed over the course of an hour on Charles Costas’ CAF Site.

Back from Denver

I was going through the prints for the show and noticed someone had ‘de-faced’ one of them.

(I’m looking at you, Alfonso.)

This is as close as we got to seeing the Rockies…

…Dink was a great little, fun, funky show…

…Kristina and Justin came by with copies of their wedding invite that I had done the illustration for…

… I signed a couple for them and they signed one for me…

…many thanks to Charlie and all the staff and volunteers at Dink!

Exquisite Corpse

I was asked to contribute to an interesting project, THE BEAUTIFUL BOOK OF EXQUISITE CORPSES.

A unique concept which is best described HERE.

Which, if nothing else, raised two thousand dollars for the American Refugee Committee by the contributors donating their fee.

There is quite the list of contributors. Not the least interesting of which is Moon Unit Zappa.

And coming up soon:

March 16-18

We’ll be there, how ’bout you?

Studiocomix Press opens store!

Much fun was had by all at the grand opening of the Studiocomix Press retail outlet:

Although Alfonso spent a good part of the day

in the back of the store

popping Advils and washing them down with Gaviscon.

I hope he got some much deserved rest on Sunday.

Some pics and the next show…

I just realized that I hadn’t posted any pictures from the Cambridge Comic Arts Festival.

Which – for a beautiful, sunny, summer sailing day – was a lot of fun!

Anybody who goes to any shows around here will  recognize Alfonso (on the right),

probably the only guy who could talk me into sittin’ inside

on a beautiful, sunny, summer sailing day.

(Wow… Mick and Keef sketches (on the left)… cool… rare… awesome.)

Okay, so he’s got stuff other than Cerebus… nobody’s perfect:

How’s a guy supposed to get any boating done around here?

What will undoubtedly be the last swim of the year.
