Great weather to stay inside and draw.
… please do not adjust your set.
See… it’s funny cuz, to get by Cerberus (the three headed dog) the Sybil feeds him a spiked honey-cake…

Have a Happy Halloween!
Here’s me with my Joe Shuster Award inducting me into the Canadian Comic Book Hall of Fame.
And this weekend I will be showing off my plaque at table PR32 At the Edmonton Fan Expo.
Although it’s officially still two and half weeks away, summer is setting.
Last weekend, at the T.O. Fan Expo I did a little monster-Gerebus head sketch in a copy of Greg Hyland’s Monster Atlas vol 2.
The little head was so much fun to do that I decided to draw a full figure Monsterebus:
Look for it in Monster Atlas volume 2, Part II, subsection C: ‘Stuff we just made up for the fun of it’.
This morning I saw an image of the “Baby Trump Blimp” and, of course, thought of this:
I imagine him singing, “You know I don’t care, what happens to you…”
Of course if you’re not familiar with Pink Floyd’s ‘Animals’ album, this will mean nothing to you. I keep forgetting how old I am.

Show starts tomorrow:
I had sent Grant a bunch of questions to clarify a few things in the script for chapter six of “The Smile of the Absent Cat”. He said that he’d ‘…spent so much time re-arranging the script that a few glitchy ghosts from previous versions survived…’ so once I have the final, final script I can start pencilling.
Meanwhile, here’s the finished page four from chapter five:

(Still don’t know my table number.)
July 1st was Canada Day. The one day that we show off our pride.
Tomorrow is the 4th of July… but those Americans show off all of the time.
Through no small effort on Brian Coppola’s part, the ‘Take On Me’ (or ‘Little Carson’s Adventures in Cerebus-land’) tribute story and extensive director’s cut commentary is available as a download or e-book through his website.

At the boat we were greeted by a biblical-style plague of gnasty gnats:
Despite this, the mast was stepped:
After much vacuuming, scrubbing, unpacking, organizing and re-attaching, we are set for the summer:
NOW I can start inking chapter 5 of ‘the smile of the absent cat’.
