I just received a copy of Fiddler’s Green which contains my illustrations for Eldred Wormwood’s ‘The Confederacy of the Green Door’. It looks great!
The magazine, billed as: Art & Magic for Tea-Drinking Anarchists, Convivial Conjurors & Closeted Optimists, is printed on luscious paper and features copper foil titling, and 52 pages of art and magic.

Since I had my paints out, I finally got around to colouring CB’s ‘Martital Bliss’ piece. Here it is as I received it:
There wasn’t much I could do to the backgrounds Dave had put in, so I came up with this:
CB wanted it coloured, so I then had to carefully peel off the dot-tone from the Cerebus figure. Some of the tone was barely attached and other parts were hanging on for dear life but I managed to remove the dots with minimal damage to the paper and then set to colouring:

Brian Coppola, long-time Cerebus fan, art collector and all-round great guy, has come up with another of his unique ideas for a commission. (More on Brian HERE and some of his collection HERE.) This one involves a five page story he’s come up with and enlisted the talents of Carson Grubaugh (more HERE and HERE).
Here is page one. Carson has done all of the work on the first five panels. He drew the figures in panels six thru nine and I did the backgrounds. The colour on those panels are just a computer mock-up of what I will attempt to do when I hand colour the original.

This was done in pencil, using the ‘crosshatching’ style that I use in my inking. I like inking in pencil WAY more than I like inking in ink, I think.
I eased back into drawing by doing a couple a logos for friends of mine:
And then I inked Chuck’s house, which I had penciled late last year:
…okay Gabe, yours is next (he’s been waiting a VERY long time).
