Summerset

Although it’s officially still two and half weeks away, summer is setting.

(Not sure why I look so happy about it.)

Last weekend, at the T.O. Fan Expo I did a little monster-Gerebus head sketch in a copy of Greg Hyland’s Monster Atlas vol 2.

The little head was so much fun to do that I decided to draw a full figure Monsterebus:

Look for it in Monster Atlas volume 2, Part II, subsection C: ‘Stuff we just made up for the fun of it’.

Couldn’t resist…

This morning I saw an image of the “Baby Trump Blimp” and, of course, thought of this:

I imagine him singing, “You know I don’t care, what happens to you…”

Of course if you’re not familiar with Pink Floyd’s ‘Animals’ album, this will mean nothing to you. I keep forgetting how old I am.

Show starts tomorrow:

I’m at table P016 (see yesterday’s post).

Stalled on six…

I had sent Grant a bunch of questions to clarify a few things in the script for chapter six of “The Smile of the Absent Cat”. He said that he’d ‘…spent so much time re-arranging the script that a few glitchy ghosts from previous versions survived…’ so once I have the final, final script I can start pencilling.

Meanwhile, here’s the finished page four from chapter five:

Only a week away!

(Still don’t know my table number.)

Pencilling chapter 5…

…of ‘the smile of the absent cat’ story by Grant Morrison.

Here are a few selected panels:

And in other news:

There was finally enough of break in the weather to go up and take the tarp off the boat!

We’ll see how long it takes the marina to get ‘er in the water, since most everybody is still in the parking lot.
