Too Busy To Blog

Geez, it’s been awhile…

Been trying to get the pages done for Grant Morrison’s “Smile of the Absent Cat” installment to appear in the October issue of Heavy Metal magazine.

And pack for Edmonton this weekend.

So… until I get the okay to post some the art on this here blog

I’ll leave you with a couple of photos of some happy customers:

July already?!!?

I managed to get a few drawings done, here are the ones I’ve got scanned in so far…

…but mostly it’s been hanging out at the boat enjoying the arrival of summer. Shel dislocated her thumb after an unfortunate encounter with gravity and I lost all feeling in my nether regions going for a swim in Georgian Bay:

Not so bad once you put a wet-suit on.

Waiting for that day in August when the water temp briefly rises above 20 C (68 F).

Helping Heroes…

ComeSeeUs_Philly_728x90

logoThe Hero Initiative is the first-ever federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need. Hero creates a financial safety net for yesterdays’ creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work. It’s a chance for all of us to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment.

Last month in Minneapolis I did a little Gerebus sketch and gave it to the folks at Hero Initiative.

It’s just a silly little sketch but it’s for a very worthwhile cause that needs your generous support.

They have it up on eBay (click on image):
